This one’s a bit different from my usual posts - it’s not my own book, but it’s close enough to what I care about that I wanted to share it anyway.
My publisher, Packt, has put together the Embedded Firmware Developer Toolkit on Humble Bundle: a collection of 15+ books covering microcontrollers, C/C++, ARM Cortex-M, RTOS, embedded Linux, device drivers, debugging, RISC-V, and more.
If you’ve read any of my robotics books, you’ll know I mostly work a layer up from this - Python, Raspberry Pi, sensors, computer vision. But every robot ultimately depends on firmware running well below that layer, and understanding it makes you a better robotics builder, not just a better programmer.
There’s a good range in this bundle, from foundational material through to deeper system-level topics, so whether you’re just starting to look under the hood or already comfortable there and want to go deeper, there’s likely something useful in it.

I’m not affiliated with this bundle - just passing it along because it’s genuinely relevant to the kind of work this site is about.
